With multiple thought leadership pieces being created on a regular basis, Landis+Gyr found itself needing to update its current flipbook style due to its limiting, non-mobile-friendly format. The company called upon Movéo to develop a new eZine website and layout that would prove to be easy to navigate while also being robust and responsive on mobile.
Landis+Gyr wanted to keep its same magazine-style layout and design, without moving the new layout to a simple blog post format. Movéo developed a customized WordPress template that allowed for easier publishing and the ability to add in more rich media without moving away from the magazine style it had previously used in order to retain the content’s depth and visual interest. This new format led to improved SEO, driving web traffic back to the corporate site.
Movéo’s developers built a robust and easy-to-use content management system that streamlined the development of eZines. The new format made viewing content on PCs and mobile more responsive and interactive, all while keeping the copy elements that were ubiquitous to the former layout.
Prior to the launch of the new eZine format, previous issues from 2015 had over 4,000 combined views, with interactions only slightly increasing. The new eZine format led to a dramatic increase in interactions in its first two months, with five times more interactions by the Summer 2016 issue. New visits to the eZine website, befutureready.com, increased by 66%, leading to increased views of the Summer 2016 issue compared to average views of 2015 eZines.
